Editorial Policies

Authorship

Authorship must be based on substantial scholarly contribution, including conception, design, data acquisition, analysis, drafting, or critical revision.

Acknowledgements

Individuals or organizations contributing to the work but not meeting authorship criteria must be acknowledged.

Corresponding Author

The corresponding author ensures that all authors approve the submission and that all data, figures, materials, and code comply with transparency and reproducibility standards.

Changes in Authorship

Changes in authorship require completion of the FMRJ Change of Authorship Form, submitted by the corresponding author.

Manuscript Submission

Manuscripts must follow FMRJ Author Guidelines, and all authors must approve the submission.

Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.

Confidentiality

Submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential.

Misconduct

Any form of misconduct—including plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or ethical violations—will be investigated according to FMRJ procedures.

Corrections and retractions follow FMRJ retraction guidelines.
